Rooted in the heart of Apulia, CROSSROAD represents the intersection of environmental metamorphosis, digital research, and modern streetwear architecture.
The project originates from the devastating impact of Xylella fastidiosa—a disease that altered the centuries-old olive trees of southern Italy, stripping them of life yet uncovering a raw, bone-like structural skeleton. Rather than viewing this transformation as mere loss, SUPERCAST STUDIO captured the organic geometry of the infected wood through high-resolution 3D scanning and CAD modeling.
The physical decay of the tree was translated into a high-density digital sculpture, preserving the tension, ridges, and fractured silhouette of the timber. This digital artifact was then stripped, refined, and converted into a screen-printing matrix—bridging the gap between natural decay and contemporary graphic design.
The final piece is a physical testament to resilience and aesthetic evolution: a heavy-weight organic garment carrying the physical trace of a transformed landscape.
